Prayer for Ukraine
Loving and gracious God, we come to You with thankful hearts for our many blessings great and small. We thank you for being able to gather together as friends in Christ united in our faith and our love. Our hearts are breaking, Lord, for the victims of war in Ukraine – those in pain, in sorrow, in hunger and thirst, those who are homeless, those who are widowed and those who are orphaned, and those who are crying out for Your help and that of their fellow man. Help us to walk in unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Help us to trust in You even when we don’t see Your presence. Help us to trust in You far beyond our own understanding especially when circumstances are painful and hard. Give the Ukrainian people hope and comfort. We pray for a new heart for those who have taken their hope and spirit away. We pray fervently for a right spirit in all in Jesus name. Amen
