Psalm 104: 24-34, 35b v 25 “Here is the ocean , vast and wide, teeming with life of every kind, both large and small.”
O Lord what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you made them all. The ocean teaming with life of every kind, both large and small, given food as they need it. When you give them your breath life is created, and you renew the face of the earth. May the glory of the Lord continue forever!” I will sing to the Lord as long as I live. Let all that I am praise the Lord.
As a child I was fascinated by the world of Jacques Cousteau, a diver who made amazing films about the ocean, whose children and grandchildren are passionate about it too. As a result of his efforts to film the oceans and protect them, there are now marine parks, protected areas of the ocean that were devastated by overfishing and pollution that have recovered to be full of the amazing varieties of sea life again. Man might try and destroy but God will breathe life again into His creation. “Praise the Lord!” For some amazing pictures of our oceans here.

Prayer: Heavenly Father we praise your name for your wisdom seen in the diversity of the oceans. We are sorry as we over harvest and pollute the oceans. Thank you for pioneers who have shown us the error of our ways and guide us to encourage governments to continue to support conservation of the world’s oceans. Amen.
