Grow

2 Corinthians 13: 11-13 v 11” Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. “

Brothers and sisters. I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you. All of God’s people here send you their greetings.

I can’t remember the last time I actually sat down and wrote a letter to someone.  I still send the odd birthday card but even have a subscription for computer cards. My family will tell you my handwriting is not the best and spelling is worse so a computer that helps you correct spelling and punctuation has really helped me produce these thoughts guided by the Holy Spirit. For each of us to grow, fellow brothers and sisters we must experience God. Be open to the supernatural, not just the easy stuff like the wonder of the world in which we live (see Tuesday’s blog moon) sometimes He is in the small details- I won a raffle prize of tickets to a zoo I wanted to take my grandchildren too this summer. Thank you, God. A friend, whilst herself suffering in hospital reached out to another patient and prayed for him, encourage each other, and the love of God was shared not just to this person but to all who heard the story. When you think of all the things in your life that have worried you the most, how have they been resolved? Through your own actions or though someone beyond you? A loving God who encourages you to live in peace and harmony? Grow spiritually then you will experience Him, His love, and His peace.

“All of God’s people here send you their greeting” 2 Corinthians 13 v 13

Prayer: Loving God thank you for being with me in all I do today. For showing me your love and peace, whatever is going on in my life.  Amen.

Take a few moments today and write a letter to God.
