Matthew 10 : 24- 39 v 25” After the crowd was out outside , however, Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand , and she stood up.” V 29 “then he touched their eyes and said” Because of your faith, it will happen. “v33 “so Jesus caste out the demon, and then the man began to speak.”
The crowds laughed and had to be put outside. Jesus quietly raised a girl from the dead. Two blind men, wanted to see. Jesus gave them their site but told them not to tell anyone. They went out and spread His fame over the whole region. The crowds were amazed when the man began to speak but the Pharisee’s said “He can caste out demons because he is empowered by the prince of demons.”

Jesus suffered the humiliation of the crowd laughing at Him. When has a group of people laughed at your religious beliefs? But He was kind anyway. What was your reaction? He cured the blind men because they believed he could but wanted to do it quietly. Have you ever had a donation given quietly only to have others go around and tell everyone of your good deed? He healed the man possessed and the man was able to speak. Those in high positions of authority and respect in the community said it was not a good thing. Have you ever done a good deed only to be told that you did it for selfish reasons or that it wasn’t a good thing by others you respected?
Jesus continued to travel to all the towns and villages announcing the good news and healing every kind of disease and illness. He told us to pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest, to send more workers.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for sending the example of Jesus to learn do miracles in your name despite the reactions that occur. Please send us the help we need to continue to teach others about the Good News and to heal those we meet along the way. Amen
