How long?

How long will you forget me? Look the other way? How long must I struggle with anquish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? My enemy has the upper hand? Restore the sparkle in my eyes. Don’t let my enemies gloat at my downfall. I trust in your unfailing love. I rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because He is good to me.

We are on vacation, and it is raining again this morning. We look at the radar picture and ask how long will this continue? We think about driving to see some sights but how long will it take in the rain? Will we see any wildlife or just more rain? I think I know how David felt. How long till the sun shines?

We see David realizing that he trusts in the Lords unfailing love. He will sing to the Lord because he is good. And that is what is important today. Whether we have a marathon card game or dance in the rain, the Lord is good to me and to you. However, “down” your life seems today do something to brighten yourself up. Sing to some worship songs, live in God’s unfailing love!
