Determined

Psalm 119: 105-112 v 112” I am determined to keep your decrees to the very end.”

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. I will obey your righteous regulations. My life constantly hangs in the balance, but I will not stop obeying your instructions. Your laws are my treasure.” I am determined to keep your decrees to the very end.”

Throughout the Old Testament we see the love and the anger of God as His people consistently promise to obey His commandments and they fail. From Adam and Eve in the garden eating forbidden fruit, to Moses in the wilderness using God’s power to provide water for the people as his own. Then God sent His Son. The religious hierarchy at the time were his strongest enemies. Jesus came for all of us , Jews, gentiles, foreigners,  and asked us first to love God then our neighbor as ourselves. To humbly walk where he is already. His word, guiding our feet and lighting our path.

“My life constantly hangs in the balance, but I will not stop obeying your instructions.” Psalm 119 v 109

Be determined today to love God. Thanks for reading this scripture and reflecting with me. Share His love with someone he puts in your path today. And thank God at the end of the day for all that you experienced in His name. And don’t worry Jesus will be beside you, helping you. Start small like a mustard seed and see what grows out of it.

Prayer: Holy God guide our feet today through your word to the person who needs to hear. Give us courage to speak out and share, and the determination to live with your laws as our treasure. Amen
