Exodus 14: 19-31v 22 “So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side.”
The people of Israel were being led by an angel and a pillar of cloud. The angel and the cloud moved to the rear of the camp. Between the Egyptians and the Israelites. As darkness fell the cloud turned to fire, but the Egyptians and the Israelites did not approach each other. Moses raised his hand over the sea and a path was made by the strong east wind. It blew all night. So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side.” Then the Egyptians chased them into the sea. The Lord looked down and saw the faster Egyptians could catch the Israelites, so he threw them into confusion. The Egyptians shouted let’s get out of here. The Lord is fighting against Egypt. So as the sun began to rise Moses raised his hands over the sea and the waters rushed back into place. The whole Egyptian army that was chasing the Israelites was killed. But the people of Israel had walked through the sea on dry ground. They put their faith in the Lord and in Moses.

Exodus 14 v 21b
It is mentioned twice in this passage that the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground. Not the muddy seabed as would be expected , but dry ground allowing for a faster walk but also allowing the Egyptian army in their chariots to travel along the path too. One ended in triumph and safety, the other in confusion and death. God takes care of both the big picture and the small details. If you are on God’s path with your life, he promises to help you and take care of the big and the small details. Those chasing you or making it difficult will be stopped too. Put your faith in the Lord because of the great things He has done.
Prayer: Heavenly Father who looks down on our struggles and makes a path that is dry and easy to navigate thank you. Amen.
