Critical thinking

Romans 14: 1-12 v 4 “Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And, with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive His approval.”

Accept other believers and don’t argue. One may eat everything, one only vegetables. Don’t look down or condemn the other. Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And, with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive His approval.” Is one day more Holy than the other or is every day alike? You should each be fully convinced that the day you choose is acceptable. If we live or die it is to honor the Lord. Remember we will all stand before the judgment seat of God giving a personal account.

As part of my everyday working life, I was taught to be a critical thinker. Looking and listening to people’s physical problems to analyze and evaluate and decide what the problem was to be able to form a treatment plan. To make a judgment on the issues presented. It is hard for me to leave those skills behind, and I find I can quickly observe behaviors and see problems in others and come to a judgement. I find I regularly am confessing this problem to God.

“For the scriptures say, “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God” Romans 14 v 11

I need to rely more on the love of God and ask for His help as Mother Teresa said” If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” And that is God’s plan, to love your neighbor. With God’s help we can all receive His approval.

Prayer: Almighty God who made us and gave us experiences to do your work on earth send us love and faith every day. Amen.
