Praise the Lord!

Psalm 105:1-6,37-45 v 43 “So He brought His people out of Egypt with joy, his chosen ones with rejoicing.”

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness. Sing his praises. Continually seek Him you descendants of Jacob, His chosen ones. The Lord brought His people out of Egypt, gave them a fire to light the darkness. Sent them quail when they asked for meat and satisfied their hunger with manna. “So, He brought His people out of Egypt with joy, his chosen ones with rejoicing.” Praise the Lord!

More joy and rejoicing as in this psalm the writer looks back at the events of the exodus described in the Sunday Blog reading. If we follow the decrees and instructions of God we will find joy and rejoice at the choices we have made in our lives to follow Him where He leads. Think back in your life for when God provided for your needs. Today I needed a rest from the stresses of my life. I was wound up by the things I was learning on a course I was taking, overwhelmed by the chores of life, and just plain tired. Then a friend called me and we had a chat about this blog and the website associated with it ( It needs updating if anyone would like to look and offer comments)  My house was quiet as everyone else had somewhere to be this morning and I was able to read the comforting words of the bible and relax, rejoice and praise God.

Take time out of your day today and enjoy the song below. By following Him into the wilderness of life He will make sure that you are fed and find joy!

Prayer: Heavenly Father who knows our every need thank you for giving us joy when we choose you. Amen.
