Jesus Christ is Lord!

 Philippians 2: 1-13v 12 b “Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.”     

Is there any encouragement, comfort, and fellowship from belonging to Christ?  Then work together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish, take an interest in others. Have the same attitude as Christ. He was born humbly as a human being and died a criminal’s death. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and declare that Jesus Christ is Lord.  Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.”     

This passage reminds me of the wonderful hymn “At the Name of Jesus every knee should bow” https://youtu.be/r4d4UXSJXig?si=ix07Xt5EHuhpebLc  It was sung at many of the churches I attended as I was growing up and I am sure is still popular today in traditional church settings of the Western world. I feel the encouragement and love and fellowship from singing it many times. Now a simpler but just as moving a song to remember today that Jesus Christ is Lord and live the day obeying God with deep reverence and fear.

Prayer: Holy Father, we thank you for giving us your Son Jesus Christ. Help us today to humbly walk with Him. Amen.
