The title for this passage is “Ten Commandments for the Covenant Community” and ends with God has come to test you and keep you from sinning.” And in between are the instructions from God of how we are to live a good life. But we know that that was not enough. That Jesus had to be sent down to the earth to emphasize a loving relationship with God and each other. To humbly walk with God.
