Enduring Hope

1 Thessalonians 1 1-10 v 3 “As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

This letter is from Paul, Silas, and Timothy. We pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.” When we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And now the word of the Lord is ringing out from you to people everywhere. For they talk about the wonderful welcome you gave us. They speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s son from heaven- Jesus whom God raised from the dead.

I have been travelling around to different places as a friend was visiting who had never been to Ontario before. In restaurants we were welcomed and fed by many happy people. And since have been telling others about the great country in which we live. This is what God wants us to do to spread the Good News. How can we bring God into our conversation as we go out and about in this world? Just telling people the reason we are doing this is because of our faith in a God that gives us hope that all who believe in Jesus Christ will be saved. Spread that hope to others this week, the Holy Spirit will be with you!

“For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true.” 1 Thessalonians 1 v 5

Prayer: Holy God send the Holy Spirit with each one of us today to help us by our actions and our words to spread the hope that we have in Jesus Christ your son and our savior. Amen.
