Let our children see your glory

Psalm 90 : 1-6, 13-17 v 16 “Let us your servants see you work again; and let our children see your glory.”

Lord, through generations you have been our home! From beginning to end you are God. For you a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours. You sweep people away like dreams that disappear. Let us your servants see you work again; and let our children see your glory and make our efforts successful.

It’s the difference between the thinking of God and man. God thinks in thousands of years and man thinks about their children from one generation to the next maybe 25- 30 years. From the beginning of time, to in our time- let us see you at work. God will seep away people like dreams, and man wants our efforts to be successful. God to do great works and our children to see it. That is the mystery of God, big, limitless, a supper power. Man small, in need of miracles to believe.

“For you, a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours.” Psalm 90 v 4

Of course, “let our children see your glory” but remember that the small coincidences come from the same source, God who had been here since the beginning!

Prayer: Holy God, we thank you for being with us always. From the rising sun to the full moon we glory in your name.  Amen.
