I Thessalonians 4: 13-18 v 17 “Then, together with them (those who have died) we who are alive still and remain on earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.”
We want to tell you what happens to those who have died, so that you do not grieve without hope. God will bring back with Him the believers who have died. We who are living will not meet Him ahead of those who have died. The Lord will come, with the commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet call of God. Then, together with them (those who have died) we who are alive still and remain on earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.” Encourage each other with these words.

Being a senior, I am just as interested in the dying process as in the living. After all, no one knows the time of our birth and our death. But my hope is to do both well. Talking to our financial planner this past week he mentioned that it is important to have a will. I replied we, my husband and I are both retired, of course we have one it is part of the process. He then replied there are many people who don’t want to think about it and do not plan for something we all know is going to happen even in retirement which is an indication that you are getting closer to your expiry date. So, live in the hope of being with the Lord forever and be ready to meet Him. Find strength in these words and talk with someone today about having a will for those we temporarily leave behind, but eventually will all be together!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for encouraging us to be ready to meet you. To complete the tasks you have prepared us for on earth and so to live in hope. Amen.
