1 Thessalonians 5: 1-11 v 8 “Let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.”
The day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. Everything is peaceful and secure then, like a pregnant women’s labor pains they begin. There is no escape. Let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.” For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out His anger on us. So, encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
My daughter just had a baby, and I was on call if she had to go to the hospital at night to stay with her two-year-old. My daughter first called me and when I didn’t answer my phone, it was 1.45 am, she called my husband, and he woke me up to go to her house. If I was expecting a call that night I wouldn’t have been sleeping as a Mom I always got up at night with my children when they needed me. I needed the encouragement of my husband to make sure I answered the call from my daughter. She was two days away from her due date. When I read this passage, I realized that although my head cleared as I drove to her house, and I was able to help out confident that I could manage God was not angry at me for sleeping but provided me with the help I needed. As you are already doing encourage those around you inspired by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for looking after us, even in the dark of the night when we are sleeping soundly, or in the light of the day when we are confused by the path you have for us. Thank you for those in our lives who build us up and encourage us to be the best we can be in Jesus’ name. Amen.
