1 Corinthians 1 3-9 v 9 “God will do this, for He is faithful to do what He says, and He has invited you into partnership with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. I thank God for you, who has been given the gracious gifts, eloquent words, and knowledge. Every spiritual gift you need. He will keep you strong. God will do this, for He is faithful to do what He says, and He has invited you into partnership with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

It’s getting close to Christmas. Deciding on gifts for family, friends, and others in need in the community must be done. This passage today reminds me to not get too involved in the worry of it all. If we follow Paul’s words here and rely on the faithful partnership of God’s son Jesus Christ, He will keep you strong. So, like Paul ask first for the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then thank God for all you have been given, remember that you have all you need. Make sure every gift comes with an eloquent word that makes the person you give it to aware that you understand who they are. In faithful partnership with Jesus Christ the thoughtfulness, the words are more important than the actual gift.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ who stands by us every day and keeps us strong in our faith. Give us peace and your grace to make wise choices around our gift giving this year for all your family. Amen.
