2 Peter 3 : 8-15a v 9 “The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed but wants everyone to repent. “
You must not forget this one thing, that for God a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed but wants everyone to repent. “We are looking forward to the new heaven and a new earth He has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness. Make every effort to be found living peaceful lives. Ane remember that our Lords patience gives people time to be saved.

And remember our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved.” 2 Peter 3 v 15a
Another aspect of God is taught in this passage one of patience. It is a gift from God to be patient and for a reason. He wants as many people to be saved as possible. Our own human timeline is short but during COVID every day did seem like a thousand years as we had to stay at home and plan shopping once a week. But our patient God allowed for us to develop habits that focused on Him and community activities that are still reaching out to others. Whilst visiting my grandson this week he said to me “no peeking grannie” as he and his father had wrapped presents and put them under the tree. Be patient this week and “no peeking” into next week. Enjoy today so that many can be saved.
Prayer: Almighty God thank you for the gift of patience which will allow many to be saved in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
