Wait Quietly

Psalm 62: 5-12 v 12 “unfailing love, O Lord, is yours.”

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He is….my rock, my salvation, my fortress, my victory, my refuge. Don’t make your living by extortion or put your hope in stealing. And if your wealth increases, don’t make it the center of your life. God has spoken plainly. Power: O God belongs to you; unfailing love O Lord, is yours.

The stores are full of red hearts and chocolates abound as the world prepares for Valentine’s Day a day dedicated to showing your love to those around you. And yes, that is important to do, but what about God’s love? Take a few moments from the busy of your life now. Wait quietly. Take a few deep breaths and connect with the holy in you. Give back to God what He gives to you, unfailing love!

Prayer: Holy God who first loved us, thank you. Receive the love in our hearts today. Amen.
