Mark 9: 2-9 v 5 Peter exclaimed, “Rabbi, it’s wonderful for us to be here!”
Jesus took Peter, James and John up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched Jesus’ appearance was transformed, and His clothes became dazzling white. The Elijah and Moses appeared and began talking with Jesus. Peter exclaimed, “Rabbi, it’s wonderful for us to be here!” Peter didn’t know what else to say. They were all terrified A cloud overshowed them and a voice said “This is my dearly beloved Son. Listen to Him.” As they went back down the mountain Jesus said not to mention what they had seen.

We all have gone on a journey, sat and watched an amazing site, and then walked away. It might have been a parade, a circus, theatre, a concert, professional sports game, a special church service. And what is our reaction when we come back to family, work, recreational activities? We talk about it to everyone! We explain the wonderful things we have seen, the emotions we felt, exciting, fun, incredible! I am sure that James, John and Peter talked amongst themselves about what they had seen.as if you read the next verse we see that they did.
We live after Jesus has risen from the dead so we can talk about this moment. An amazing time when Jesus not only was seen talking to Elijah and Moses, but God’s voice was there too. Supernatural moments that help us to believe in our God. “It’s wonderful for us to be here!”
Prayer: Heavenly Father who is able to transform us all to be more like Jesus, thank you. It is wonderful to be here! Amen.
