Jeremiah 31:31-34 v 33 “But this is a new covenant with the people of Judah and Israel after those days says the Lord. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts.”
The day is coming, said the Lord. When I will make a new covenant. But this is a new covenant with the people of Judah and Israel after those days says the Lord. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts.” Everyone from the least to the greatest will know me already. I will forgive their wickedness and never remember their sins.
From family to friends to neighbor relationships change with time and circumstances. Sometimes even those close to us do things that we don’t consider to be right, and it is hard for us to forget. But that is not God’s way. The new covenant or promise He made when He sent Jesus and the Holy Spirit within us demands a personal relationship with God that connects deep in our hearts. He will forget our wickedness and never remember our sins! How amazing is that!
Live today, forgiven and connected to God deep in our hearts!
Holy God who loves all in this world, help us to connect with your love deep in our hearts today as we begin to understand the new covenant that you sent in Jesus Christ. To let go of the hurts from others and live in love as you do for us. Amen.
