Psalm 31: 9-16 v 12 “ I am ignored as if I were dead, as if I were a broken pot.”
Have mercy on me Lord, for I am in distress. My body and soul are withering away. I am dying from grief and sadness. I am wasting away from within. Enemies, friends, and neighbors are afraid to come near me. I am ignored as if I were dead, as if I were a broken pot. But I am trusting you, O Lord! My future is in your hands. Rescue me. Let your favor shine on your servant, rescue me.
Life is about ups and downs. The fun of a vacation then the extra work of being home and adjusting to a regular life of chores and commitments. The unexpected hurts from family who ignore you, the juggling of schedules to organize care for the elderly who once cared for you. The sadness that comes after a birthday celebration , getting older and withering away. Where do we put our future? Into God’s hands! His unfailing love will sort us out from the inside. He will rescue you.
