Prophecy!

Psalm 22 v 10 “I was thrust into your arms at birth. You have been my God from the moment I was born.”

V18 “They divide my garments among themselves and throw dice for my clothing.”

V 30 “Our Children will also serve Him. Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord.”

Usually, to start my thoughts on the presented bible reading I summarize the parts that stand out to me during the reading of the words that day. However today is a rather long psalm and so I have chosen a few verses that stood out and hope that you will spend time reading the entire psalm from your bible or use an online version.

The bible is as relevant to us today as the day it was written. Prophecy is showing us who we are and what we need to do as Christians for God. Know where you started is my understanding of the first verse I picked out. I know as a teenager I was very against a life that was picked out for me by someone or something else. I proudly chose where I went to school after high school. Decided on a job and came to reside in a small town in Ontario. When I look back I see the hand of God guiding all I did, from the moment I was born!

The prediction of actual events that occurred centuries later would not be lost on the Jews at the time and reminds us today who is in charge! God. At a time of great despair, seeing others dividing up your stuff knowing that you are at the end of your life, know that God has been there and will be with you too.

“Our children will also serve Him.” Psalm 22 v 30a

One of my major worries now is for my grandchildren who are not attending Church, how will they know God? To see this statement written thousands of years ago comforted me today. Thank you, Lord!

Prayer: Thank you, Holy Father, for all you do each day to show your love to the world. Open our eyes to see it! Amen.
