Luke 24: 36b – 48 v 48 “ You are witnesses of all these things.”
“Peace be with you”. The whole group was frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost! “Why are you frightened? And your hearts filled with doubt? Touch me and make sure I am not a ghost. Still, they stood there in disbelief, filled with joy and wonder. They gave Him a piece of broiled fish and he ate it as they watched. Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. It was written that the message be proclaimed in the authority of His name to all nations. There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent. You are witnesses of all these things.

Luke 24 v 41
The world is full of technology that has never been part of our everyday lives until this moment in time. We can communicate with people all over the world and see immediately many wonderous things, but we are still frightened by a stranger on the street, worried for our children, anxious about our health, and exhausted from trying to keep up with it all. There is much for us to see as we walk the streets. All these distractions take us away from the important things in our lives.
Peace be with you! Open your bible for a word meant just for you today. Read the words as if you have all the time in the day to do it. In Jesus’ name say you are sorry and feel the joy and wonder. You are a witness to the good news.

“Using a sung version of the Lords prayer allows us to take a few more minutes in our time with God.” A quote from our Wednesday worship time this week. Thank be to God. Amen.
