Psalm 22; 25-31v 30 “Our children will also serve Him. Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord.”
I will fulfil my vows in the presence of those who worship you. The whole earth will rejoice with everlasting joy. For royal power belongs to the Lord. He rules all nations. Our children will also serve him. Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord. They will hear about everything he has done.
What is one of our greatest worries? That our children and their children will understand the wonders that the Lord has done. For us today and in the time when this psalm was written the same theme is seen. God however wants everyone to believe and rejoice with everlasting joy. To hear about the wonders of the Lord! Just as our children trust us as parents to do the best for them, we must trust God to do the best for us His children and future generations.
Prayer: Heavenly Father in whom we trust, we thank you for showing your wonders not just to us, but to the next generation and generations to come. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
