Love each other.

John 15 : 9-17 v 12 “This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you.”

I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love, follow my commandments so that you will be filled with joy that will overflow. This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you. Now you are my friends. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit. This is my command love each other.

Often in my version of the bible there are exclamation marks which help me to understand the significance of a passage. God really means it when He uses them! But this passage is noted because of the lack of them. Today I see the stop. No arguments. A simple truth. Not a promise, a request or even an exclamation. This is my command love each other.

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.”
John 15 v 9

Try it for the next few days.

Prayer: Heavenly Father whose Son became our friend, help us to spread your love everywhere we go. Amen.
