Psalm 29 v 9 “The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare. In His temple everyone shouts, “Glory!”
Honor the Lord you sons of God, (Hebrew translation) for his glory and strength. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.
The voice of the Lord echoes from the sea, is powerful, majestic, shatters the cedars of Lebanon. The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning. The voice of the Lord twists might oaks. In His temple everyone shouts,” Glory!” The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.

I have just returned from a trip to the United Kingdom and for the last few days spent time in London. As I walked the streets, packed with people, there were many different languages being spoken all round me. On Sunday I went to a service at St Paul’s Cathedral, and it was filled with those same people and when the Lord’s prayer was said everyone was invited to say it in their own language. The Lord was truly worshiped in the splendor of His holiness. In the clamor and busyness of one of the largest cities in the world the voice of the Lord was heard. We were blessed with peace.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the chance to listen to your voice in many different ways, in the forests, in the storm, in the middle of a city. We praise your glorious name today and always in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and with the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
