Psalm 139 1-6, 13-18 v 3 “You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything that I do.”
O Lord you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything that I do. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God. And when I wake up you are still with me.

In the past three weeks as you are aware from my previous blogs I have been travelling to the UK, I have been crazy busy at home whilst trying to adjust back to the five hour time difference, reluctantly planning for an event on Saturday and running around literally my house and garden with my grandchildren, then away again for an overnight trip and here I am back at home having gone to bed yesterday feeling overwhelmed. I knew I had planned a schedule for my week as part of my course work and the first thing I did this morning was to find it. In looking at what I had already had in mind I saw there was time for all the things I had to do this week. There were even gaps in my day, room for my family and for my garden. I started to feel better about myself and the week that is to come. Then I read todays bible verse. God sees me. He is a part of the crazy, a part of the quiet and a part of the complex life that is mine. From the aches and pains in my body, to the deep joy experienced in different ways of worship. To fellowship with different generations of my family and with friends. You saw me before I was born. And when I wake up you are still with me.
Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for making me and all those I know special with gifts and talents to do the work you have planned for us on earth. I am sorry that we sometimes get overwhelmed by the tasks you have for us and forget that with Jesus by our side your great plans can be accomplished. That the Holy Spirit will enable us to use His gifts in your name for others to see your light in us. Amen.
