Where were you?

 Job 38: 1-11v 4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much.”

Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind.  Who is this that questions my wisdom? I have some questions for you! Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me if you know so much. What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstone as the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? Who kept the sea inside its boundaries. I said” This far and no father will you come.”

There is order in this world. The ebb and flow of the ocean for many has a calming effect. We might not have been around when it was created but we feel connected to the rhythms of the world around us. But I believe in a power that was able to form this earth, and it is my foundation with Jesus as the cornerstone. With angels and singing stars. How about you? Where do you stand in your belief today? Brace yourself and think about the wonders of this world and the one who created it.

Prayer: Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth we thank you for including us in the rhythms of life. Help us to understand the connection between the natural world and the heavenly realm. Amen.
