Great is His faithfulness

Lamentations 3; 22-23  v 23 “ Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.”

For this blog post I wrote the book Lamentations but the verse from the line below from 2 Corinthians 8:7-15. There are only 5 books in Lamentations, so I read each book verses 7-15. It truly was devastating, a planned destruction of the Lord’s people, with descriptions of children dying in the streets, mothers helpless to feed them, even using them as food to keep themselves alive. People left      helpless and devastated. Filled with bitterness and sorrow. We were looking to nations that cannot help us. So I went back to the lectionary and found the verses quoted for today in Lamentations 3: 22-23. The name of a wonderful hymn “Great is thy faithfulness”. Whatever misery we are going through from our own turning away from God always remember. Great is His faithfulness. His mercy begins new every morning. Start living your life again today first for God. Read a small section of the bible and think on it. Use a devotional to help or read this blog every day. Whatever you are experiencing God can change it for the better or even during times of great sorry He will support you with what you need, a helping hand or a kind word. Being obedient to God is always good. In Lamentations we see the worst of what happens when you don’t.

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease” Lamentations 3 v 22

Prayer: Almighty God who plans good things when we need them, who sent Jesus so that we could relate to Him and become more steadfast in following your ways rather than just keeping a set of rules. Who gave us the Holy spirit within to guide us we thank you. Amen.
