Psalm 48v 9 “O God we meditate on your unfailing love as we worship in your temple.
How great is the Lord, how deserving of praise, in the city of our God, which sits on his holy mountain! God himself is in Jerusalem’s towers, revealing Himself as its defender. O God we meditate on your unfailing love as we worship in your temple. As your name deserves, O God, you will be praised to the end of the earth. Your strong right hand is filled with victory. Let the people on Mount Zion rejoice. Let all the towns of Judah be glad because of your justice. For that is what God is like. He is our God forever and ever, and He will guide us until we die.

This week I went to church and the service was outside and so I decided to read the passage for today outside as well as it was lovely and warm early in the morning and I read of worshipping God in His temple! Outside, in your local church in a church where you are on vacation, or in Jerusalem our God deserves praise. When we praise God we feel His majesty, His power, and His love wherever you are, for that is what God is like.
Prayer: Heavenly Father we are sorry that sometimes we make life complicated and fuss over the how, what and why of worship when you simply want us to praise you….in a large church, or outside, or a remote church or an inn-city church. We thank you for your unfailing love as we worship you this summer. Amen.
