Ephesians 2:11-22 v 20 “Together; we (Jews and Gentiles) are His house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.”
Gentiles used to be outsiders. Jews were proud of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts. Once you were far away from God but now you have been brought near to Him through the blood of Jesus Christ. He made peace between Jews and gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. Together, we (Jews and Gentiles) are His house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We are carefully joined together in Him becoming a holy temple for the Lord.

Ephesians 2 v 19/20.
My grandchildren love to play with building blocks. They build tall towers, sometimes a garage for a car, or homes for animals. They build them knock them down and start again. Our faith can be like that too. We have times when we are strong and grow tall and confident in our faith, other times when we humbly serve the needs of those around us, and yet other times when we start over in a new place. Where, when or how we express our faith, we always have Christ as our corner stone and it shows in our hearts. Just as my grandchildren carefully build their blocks Christ carefully builds us up to be what He wants us to be, a holy temple for the Lord!
Prayer: Heavenly Father who gave us Christ to join us together help us to build carefully each day a holy temple. Amen
