Psalm130 v 5” I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on Him.”
From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. Pay attention to my prayer. You offer forgiveness. I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on Him. I long for the Lord, hope for the Lord, His redemption overflows.
My grandchildren are learning how to count. They practice over and over again, counting pictures in story books, bugs outside, people in the car, all the time counting. Do we count on the Lord in all we do? Yes when we are in deep trouble as in this psalm. We hope that He ignores are failings , answers our prayers and shows us His unfailing love. Take some time today and count the ways God is good to you and like my grandchildren who are also learning many other things, say thank you and sorry! He Himself will redeem Israel from every kind of sin.

Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for all the wonderful things you do in this world everyday. We are sorry that we do not count on you so much in the good times as in the bad. Help us to hope in you and your unfailing love. Amen.
