Bearing fruit each season!

Psalm 1 v 3 “They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.”

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked. They delight in the law of the Lord. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. They prosper in all they do. The Lord watches over the path of the godly.

We planted a peach tree last year and my husband and I have been watching the first and only peach grow all summer. It is nearly ripe! The label on the tree says the fruit will fall to the ground when ripe so each morning we gingerly touch the peach to see if it is loose and ready to fall! We are still waiting! Just as in bible times we are closely connected to our food and how it is produced. We can understand that trees near a water source will do well every year. That we need to stay connected to God and his laws to produce fruit each season. The timing of fruit being ready may be different each year, but God watches over our path and guides us. Look out for the new season in your life that God has prepared to produce fruit.

Prayer: Heavenly Father we pray for all those looking to produce fruit by following your laws this week. We thank you for watching over our path as we watch for the fruit to ripen in the name of Jesus. Amen.
