Proverbs 31: 10-31v 25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
She is more precious than rubies. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her.
There are many contradictions in the bible and one’s about women show them from many different cultural perspectives but here is a description of a women “more precious than rubies”. Praised for the hard work she does that women today would be happy to hear as they work outside the home (buying a field) , are part of charitable work ( helps poor and needy) have a side hustle ( makes linen garments and sashes), develops her own spirituality ( Fears the Lord) .
Make sure that today you laugh too, showing strength and dignity, as a woman(a wife)
Prayer: Heavenly Father who made all in His image we thank you for this wonderful image of a woman that reminds us to praise those we have in our lives today. Amen.
