The roundabout- Pray, Prayer, Power!

James 5: 13-20 v 16 “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

Are any of you suffering hardships? Pray. Happy? Sing praises! Sick? Anoint with oil. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah prayed and no rain fell for three and a half years. He prayed again and the rains came. If someone among you wanders away, and is brought back, it will bring about the forgiveness of many sins.

“Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. ” James 5 v 15

CrossWalk was founded with the image of a crossing, which helps you get safely to the other side of the road. Our life is guided by the Cross as we walk with Christ. The roundabout of prayer shows us how to get through the busy intersections we find through the journey.

Pray- the act, starts with confessing your sins, and being forgiven, as we give way to the traffic already there.

Prayer- the words you say, guide us around to the right exit.

Power- seen in the wonderful results, such as a wonderer returning to a life of faith, which brings us back to the beginning, forgiveness of sins, as we happily continue along the road, lighter and changed, to continue with renewed strength down the road.

I hope that you encounter a roundabout today, that you pray, that your prayer is answered, and that you continue along the road, knowing your sins are forgiven.

Prayer: Heavenly Father we are sorry for the things we have done today where we have lost our self-control, been unkind, and (include a particular event in your life from this week) . Help us to help others walk with you daily and allow the power within us to shine in the name of Jesus, Amen.
