Psalm 104: 1-9,24, 35c v 8 “The mountains rose and the valleys sank to the levels you decreed.”
O lord my God how great you are! You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens. You make clouds your chariots. The winds are your messengers. You placed the world on its foundation so it would never be moved. The mountains rose and the valleys sank to the levels you decreed. O Lord what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you made them all. Praise the Lord!
Sometimes the things you do all make sense. Just like the writer of this psalm looked at the world and saw God’s hand in everything. Which gave him the reason to praise the Lord. Last night I found a TV show that was about a race across Canada. With limited money, no cell phones and no GPS, just a map. They started on the West Coast and went either through the mountains of British Columbia or onto Vancouver Island. The awe of the mountains was amazing even on TV, all decreed by God. Wow!
