High Priest

Hebrews 5: 1-10 v 7 “While Jesus was here on earth, He offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue Him from death. And God heard His prayers because of His deep reverence for God. “

Every high priest is chosen. He presents the gifts of others and offers sacrifices for their sins. He is able to deal gently with ignorant and wayward people. Offering sacrifices for his own sins as well as others. He must be called by God. While Jesus was here on earth, He offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue Him from death. And God heard His prayers because of His deep reverence for God. Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things He suffered.

And God heard His prayers because of His deep reverence for God. Hebrews 5 v 7b

Is there a church or a High Priest without sin? No, the only one without sin was Jesus. Sometimes we forget that we are all human. But God gave us prayer as a way to say sorry, to give praise and to ask for forgiveness and things are on our heart. And just as He listened to Jesus, He listens to us. Be thankful for Jesus the perfect High Priest, and a God who has grace to forgive those who have deep reverence for Him.

Prayer: Heavenly Father we come to you knowing that we always fall short of being the best we can be. Help us to continue to work towards being a better person with the example of Jesus and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
