Hebrews 7: 23-28 v 28 “The law appointed high priest who were limited by human weakness. But after the law was given, God appointed his Son with an oath, and His Son has been made the perfect High Priest forever.”
There have been many priests under the old system. But because Jesus lives forever, his priesthood last forever. Unlike the other high priest who sacrifice every day, first for themselves, then for others. Jesus did this once for all when He offered himself as a sacrifice for the people’s sins. The law appointed high priest who were limited by human weakness. But after the law was given, God appointed his Son with an oath, and His Son has been made the perfect High Priest forever.”
We live in constantly changing times. As death claims the loved ones around us our lives are changed by the changing dynamics of a lost friend, a lost family member, a lost coworker. Limited by our human weaknesses we struggle to re orientate our lives. Find comfort today in knowing that Jesus lives and is always with us. In charge as the High Priest forever! Be humble today with the confidence that when our earthly journey comes to an end, He will the there, as well as during all our days.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the sacrifice of your Son, Jesus Christ, and the love that he has for us all, always and forever. Amen.
