Have fun today as a family making gingerbread into a house or cookies and decorating them. For the last few years our family has had a competition. The Bulk Barn has ready made gingerbread pieces, this year they also had lots of assembled houses and ginger bread men. Depending on your skill level make and decorate gingerbread. The more colorful the candies you use the better and a special board to put it on helps, covered with tin foil.
This can be a messy activity so I purchase plastic tablecloths from the dollar store and then dispose of them with all the dropped icing, sprinkles and candy wrappers.
