When He comes!

Malachi 3 1-4 v 2 “But who will be able to endure it when He comes? Who will be able to stand and face Him when he appears? For He will be like a blazing fire that refines metal, or like a strong soap that bleaches clothes. “

I am sending a messenger. Then the Lord will suddenly come. Who will be able to stand and face Him when he appears? For He will be like a blazing fire that refines metal, or like a strong soap that bleaches clothes. He will purify the Levites, refining them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will accept the offerings of the people.

More laundry, more cooking, more washing dishes, more cleaning of the toilets, the everyday tasks of everyday. No wonder this season of Christmas is looked forward to every year. We cook different foods, take time out for a party, shop until we drop, (retail therapy) and wrap everything up in wonderful paper and bows. People are kinder and have bigger smiles on their faces. We celebrate yearly the birth of Jesus, Gods only son.

But are we ready for Him to be a part of our lives when He comes? Is it a reminder of the wonderful counselor we live with every day or the chance of a new beginning walking closer with Him or a tentative yes Lord, I accept you as my savior? Are you ready for the blazing fire or strong soap? Are you ready to be refined, changed? Suddenly like the host of angels that appeared to the shepherds He comes into our lives.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for the greatest gift we can receive, your Son Jesus Christ. I reaffirm my belief in Him accept Him into my life, again or for the first time. Amen.
