Isaiah 12: 2-6 v3 “With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation”
I will trust in Him and not be afraid. With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation. Sing to the Lord for He has done wonderful things. For great is the Holy one of Israel who lives among us.
With this time of year comes letters in emails from friends and family with news about the sad things that occurred in their lives this year, looking for the hope of better things to come next year. Several have lost their only surviving parent, one a grandchild. How do we manage this time of year when we feel sad? Several ideas have come with the letters too, talk about the loved one, remember the good times, watch a sad movie and have a good cry. Listen to the hope in this season that we have as Christians, that Jesus came to give us hope, and sing maybe with a tear in your eye, for the Lord does wonderful things, that you will see this week.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Please comfort the friends and family we know who grieve especially in the next week of celebrations. We thank you for the hope that is ours as Christians. Amen.
