Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News. I passed on to you what was most important and what had been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the scriptures said. He was seen by Peter and then by the twelve. After that he was seen by more than 500 of His followers. Last of all I saw Him. It is not I but God who was working through me by His grace. We all preach the same message.
What do we really believe? God sent many rules and regulations to try and make humans understand His message of love, peace and welcome for all. But it took His only Son Jesus Christ to die for all our wrong doings. For all that takes us away from our belief in God. And true to the scriptures on the third day He came back to life. Hundreds actually saw Him, in His risen body to help us believe. To remind us that God is in control if we ask Him and let Him. By His grace we then work for Him and find love, peace and joy in the process! Love is in the air this week but remember the greatest love for each of us comes from God!
