1 Cor 15: 12-20 v 19 “And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.”
Why are some of you saying there is no resurrection of the dead? For if there is no resurrection of the dead then Christ has not been raised either. If Christ has not been raised then our preaching is useless, we are lying, your faith is useless as you are still guilty of sins. And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. But if fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.
Are we to be pitied or our we part of a great harvest? All, the good and the bad die. We all have an expiry date. Our faith grounds us in love, hope and joy. In the love of Christ, yes who is alive today. In the hope of a new life after death. And in joy that we find choosing to do the things that Jesus taught us in this life. Do I know what will happen when I die? Not in any precise detail but I do know that in God’s house there are many rooms. Singing with the angels will be amazing. And my new body will be without pain. Rejoice in the Lord always. We are not to be pitied. Christ was raised from the dead, the first of a great harvest! And when we die, He will be there with us.

Prater: Heavenly Father who has the length of our lives written in your book help us to make all our days valuable to you. Open our hearts to share your love to all. Amen.
