Exodus 34: 29-35 v 30 “So when Aaron and the people of Israel saw the radiance of Moses’ face, they were afraid to come near him.”
Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying two tablets, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant. So when Aaron and the people of Israel saw the radiance of Moses’ face, they were afraid to come near him. When Moses had finished speaking with them, he covered his face with a veil. But whenever he went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with the Lord, he would remove the veil until he came out again. And the people of Israel would see the radiant glow of his face.
In the Old Testament a few people like Moses got to meet God face to face, and they were transformed. Moses’ face was radiant, so much so that the people were afraid and after he was aware of that he wore a veil. Today we have a direct connection with God, Jesus, and when we invite Him into our lives, He transforms us. I have met many radiant people over the years who have an amazing connection with God that you can see in their face. It inspires me on my faith journey to do the job I was made for, to show God’s love by my actions. What radiance has God given you to shine to the world?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the direct connections we see in the Old Testament and the Good News in the New Testament of our connection with Jesus. Help us to shine with your radiance today and every day. Amen.
