John 9: 28-36 v 33 ” If this man was not from God, he couldn’t have done it.”
We are disciples of Moses, but we don’t even know where this man came from. “He healed my eyes, yet you don’t know where He comes from?” Ever since the world began, no one has been able to open the eyes of someone born blind. If this man was not from God, he couldn’t have done it. They threw him out of the synagogue. When Jesus heard what had happened, he found the man and asked,” Do you believe in the Son of Man?”
The amazing thing about the bible is that you can read the same passage and find a truth deeper or different than the time before. Whoever chose this passage did not want us to focus on the actual miracle but on the discussion that occurred after it and the actions of those in the synagogue. The man who was healed believed that Jesus was from God, but they threw him out. Born blind he must have been a sinner, how could he therefore have a greater understanding? Jesus heard what had happened to the man, he went to find him. Like any good teacher he continued to ask him questions,” Do you believe in the Son of Man?” The man replied I want to believe in Him!
Sometimes even though we see with our own eyes miracles from God, we still question Him. From the small things like finding a parking space when you are in a hurry to the healing of a sick friend God finds us when we are in trouble and answers our prayers and provides what we need. Do you want to believe in the Son of God, or do you suffer from spiritual blindness?

John 9 v 34a
Prayer: Holy God open our eyes today to the miracles around us that help us to see Jesus, and the plan He has for us. Amen.
