1 Corinthians 10: 1-13 v 3 “All of them ate the same spiritual food.”
Don’t forget our ancestors in the wilderness. All of them were guided by a cloud and walked through the sea on dry ground. All of them ate the same spiritual food. Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did, or worship idols as some of them did. If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure.
I was feeling miserable, overwhelmed that I could not accomplish all the things that God wanted of me as well as all the worldly pressures that were around me. I realized that I was not alone, some of my friends were experiencing the same thing. And then God talked to me through this passage. A reminder to worship God first and not other idols. To me that means taking time to attend worship, either on a Wednesday night or Sunday morning, see He gives me choices to do the right thing. When I started the day on the wrong foot, you all know how that happens, you sleep in, you get distracted from the time, you forget things. He sent an army of people to get the jobs he wanted done that day and we finished not on time but early so that we could add another planning session to our day to complete something important to Him. He showed me when I was tempted to give up a way out. Something that met His priorities and that I could manage with the skills he gave me. A lesson learned.

All ate the same spiritual food! You too can feel loved and supported by the words in the bible. Make sure you read them everyday. A lesson learned!
Prayer: Heavenly Father who made all things good, thank you for the strength to stand up for you and your ways in all we do. To help us continue when we are tired and out of energy surrounded by the love of Christ. Amen.
