The Lord comes to the rescue each time!

 Psalm 34 v 18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”

I will always praise the Lord. Let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness. Those who look to Him for help will be radiant with joy. For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear Him. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Search for peace and work to maintain it. The Lord hears his people when they call for help. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The Lord protects the bones of the righteous. No one who takes refuge in Him will be condemned. The Lord looks after our spiritual health with all our senses. Others can see how he cares for us by our joy. Use your tongue to praise him, to taste Him and to not speak evil or tell lies, but to speak of His greatness. Use your ears to listen and He will to. Look for peace and then work to maintain it. From our hearts to our bones, He protects us. Shelter in Him, no one will be turned away.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for being there for us when we are down. For the joy that you give us as we praise your name. Rescue us as we search for peace, and join us in the work to maintain it. Amen
