Weeping and Singing

Psalm 126 v 6 “They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.”

We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. Yes. The Lord has done amazing things for us! Restore our fortunes, Lord. Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

Life has its ups and downs. Can you remember happy times in the past? Are things not going so well now? Whatever you are going through, the Lord is there. Remember the amazing things he has done!  He will restore your fortunes. You must keep on planting as spring is here, a new season, a time to do things better or differently but not to stop. We are never too young or too old to work for God and to enjoy the good that it brings into our lives.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the joy we have experienced in the past and restore our joy as we work for you today. Amen.
