Psalm 8 v 4 “What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?”
O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength. What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? You gave them charge over everything that you made, putting all things under their authority. O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
When I went on a mission trip one of the things that has stayed with me is the size of God. He grew really big! I understood that His name fills the earth. That we are mere mortals, yet He put us in charge of the amazing things He made, and He cares for us. He is our Lord!
Prayer: Almighty God, we thank you for caring about each one of us who lives in the amazing world that you made. Help us to take care of the earth and of each other in the name of Jesus Christ your Son. Amen.
