Job 42:1-6 v 2 “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you.”
Job replied to the Lord. I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you. I was talking about things I knew nothing about, far too wonderful for me. Now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take everything back I said and sit in ashes to show my repentance.
Job’s feeling of regret over what he had said is not new to this world. It is easy to think of a time when you wish you could take back what you said. When getting to know someone more deeply gives you a whole new insight into their character. In this world and the next there is no higher authority than God. So why should we question the answers to our prayers, of things far too wonderful for me.

Prayer: Heavenly father we thank you for the vision to see you, and we are sorry when we say things that are not true to your word. Amen.
